Frequently Asked Questions

Our system is aimed at creating daily habits of chess improvement that will help you steadily over time. It’s a minimalistic progressive approach, at first you may feel that it’s not very demanding, but the goal is to first create the habit. It doesn’t matter how successful or frustrating each specific day of training is, what matters is continuing the habit, which will put you on the path towards long-term guaranteed improvement. Focus on accomplishing the training goals every day and before you notice you’ll see your strength going up.

We offer a 10 USD monthly subscription, that you can pay via PayPal or credit/debit card. At the end of the month you’ll be charged again unless you cancel it (you may cancel the subscription at any point either directly or just by sending us a message).

  • Points are updated daily.
  • Only correct puzzles will win you points.
  • Solving a puzzle wrong doesn’t subtract any points.
  • The first correct puzzle of each day wins you 100 points.
  • From the second correct puzzle, each correct puzzle wins you 10 points.
  • The maximum number of correct puzzles each day that will give you points is 50.

You can gain points on ChessHabits by solving tactical puzzles to exchange for rewards. Puzzles can be done at lichess.org, chess.com or chesstempo.com (which is our general recommendation, due to better puzzle quality).
